South Fence Update

Many residents have been involved in so many discussions around the southern perimeter fence for the past year and so we wanted to provide an update.

Addison Fencing’s Director came to the gardens in February this year for a site visit. They advised that the bank now needs clearing before the new fence can be installed, such has been the degree of vegetation growth over the last year.

The Committee is at present working with ground clearance companies so that we can receive proposals and estimates for the work. Once the one metre strip (back from the wall) has been cleared, Addison Fencing will be able to move the position of the fence.

In the meantime, the replacement of the wooden borders to the path has been postponed until the existing fence is removed as the wood is likely to be damaged during the dismantling of the fence structure.

We will be sure to keep everyone posted on further progress, and specific dates for each phase of these works well in advance of these going live.

The CPGA Committee are elected at every AGM to manage the upkeep and development of Crown Pleasure Gardens, in a beautiful corner of Glasgow’s West End. One of the main pillars of their work is to ensure good communication and consultation with the association of residents they serve, ensuring residents priorities are at the centre of committee business. As part of this the CPGA website was launched in Spring 2022 and will continue to be updated and promoted to residents as a focal point for updates and information.
