Creating Accessible Gardens

One of our residents has requested wheelchair access to our Gardens.

The Committee is now looking to purchase a portable wheelchair ramp for the Hyndland Street entrance.

A lightweight aluminium ramp will be kept padlocked to the inside of the fence by the gate.

The person accompanying the wheelchair user will need to enter the garden, unlock the ramp, and place it in position on the pavement for the wheelchair to be able to enter the gardens.

A copy of the padlock key can be requested from the Committee.

It will be available once the gate repair is complete at that entrance. We will keep you posted as dates are firmed up.

The CPGA Committee are elected at every AGM to manage the upkeep and development of Crown Pleasure Gardens, in a beautiful corner of Glasgow’s West End. One of the main pillars of their work is to ensure good communication and consultation with the association of residents they serve, ensuring residents priorities are at the centre of committee business. As part of this the CPGA website was launched in Spring 2022 and will continue to be updated and promoted to residents as a focal point for updates and information.
