About

OUR CONSTITUTION

Crown Pleasure Gardens Association (CPGA) was set up by the residents and owners of Highburgh Road (formerly Foremount Terrace) and Crown Terrace at a meeting on June 14 2004. A Committee comprising 6 members was formed at this inaugural meeting. An AGM open to all owners and residents will be held each year.

All monies collected from Association residents by the Committee are intended solely for the upkeep of Crown Pleasure Gardens. This is to include insurance for Public Liability, upkeep of the lawn and flowerbeds, maintenance of the trees surrounding and within the gardens, and the restitution, repair and maintenance of the perimeter walls, gates, locks, fencing and any wall railings to ensure that the gardens are safe and secure.

OUR TITLE DEEDS

Our access to and use of Crown Pleasure Gardens is governed by the Original Title Deeds allowing properties with entitlements to access the Gardens. This was drafted in 1876, getting on for 150 years ago and, as a legal document it outlines the various sections descriptions and burdens in conjunction and without exception with the Deeds of each owner of Properties on Crown Terrace (1-20) and Highburgh Road (66, 68, 70, 72, 74, 76, 78, 80, 82, 84) including The Rock and Beechgrove.

GETTING THERE / DELIVERIES

We have now added the Hyndland Street gate entrance to the gardens to Google Maps. This should assist anyone wishing to direct others to the garden and is particularly useful for any deliveries directly to the gardens:
