Garden Wall Breach in Lane

Please be aware that today we have had a garden wall breach in Foremount Terrace Lane. We have arranged for this area to be taped off for now and please do take care if you are in the lane.

Our stonemason has attended the site this evening to begin assessing the damage and how best to remedy this and we will be in touch again when we have details of that.

Meanwhile, we are asking that all residents do not walk on or near the entire length of the garden wall in this lane until we can assess it. We are also advising any residents who have instructed private works in the lane to halt these until this assessment is complete.

Many thanks for your kind attention to these precautionary measures and we will update everyone on this soon.

Stone Wall Repairs Begin

Some welcome good news today… the long-awaited repair to our perimeter stone wall is now underway today.

We had less notice of the start than expected but we are sure everyone is keen to see it start nonetheless!

Please be aware that the works will last for around a week and will be focussed along the four breaches on Crown Road South and Hyndland Street, beginning with the corner.

These will involve temporary removal of areas of fencing to facilitate access and repair, but will always be made secure again overnight.

We will be sure to keep you updated with progress.

Perimeter Wall Repairs are GO!

After yet another long hunt for a contractor, we are delighted to advise that we have appointed Oliver MacRae Stonemasonry.

They will repair the series of long-standing breaches along the perimeter wall on Crown Road South and Hyndland Street.

The indicative timing is to start works by end of September, and firmed-up to specific dates for the works one week before.

We will of course update you all on those confirmed dates and explain more about what to expect during the works then.
